Role Summary
Sophos is looking for creative, talented, and passionate candidates for the Senior Community Marketing & Engagement role to join our global Sophos Community Team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have a marketing, communications, or journalism background and a solid understanding of online Community engagement, digital marketing, SEO/SEM, social media tools and applications, digital collateral and online advertising.
As a Senior Community Marketing & Engagement Specialist, you will have the opportunity to manage and design internal and external campaigns and promotions, author blog posts, and produce videos & webinars all for the purpose of developing brand awareness for our online Sophos Community platform and Sophos Support resources. You will be representing the Global Sophos Community team as an internal and external brand ambassador to help convey our company & team values through our online social platforms to drive consistent brand personality and tone across all social properties.
What You Will Do
Maintaining and developing our internal and external social channels (Sophos Community online forums, Sophos Techvids video hub, @SophosSupport on Twitter, Sophos Support on YouTube, and /r/Sophos on Reddit)
Being responsible for reporting social media monthly metrics
Monitoring social media channels for comments to engage and escalating as appropriate
Developing and planning internal and external marketing campaigns and promotions to develop brand awareness and generate engagement
Collaborating with the corporate Sophos Marketing team on content scheduling and cross-promotion
Organizing and hosting public webinars that feature panellists from various internal Sophos teams
Collaborating with the Community team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented on newly produced Support videos and content
Recommending changes to website content, linking and other factors to improve customer experience and ensure brand consistency
Driving new ways of creating content and engaging with users across existing and new social platforms
Acting as a Sophos Ambassador online to help convey the company's values and personality
What You Will Bring
Essential
5+ years of experience in content marketing, social media, and or Community management
Ability to take content from idea to production
Understanding of social etiquette, knowledge of popular social media channels/forums and their differences, especially for application to business use
Strong grammar, writing, and editorial skills
Organized self-starter that is accountable and responsible for their work
Highly detail oriented
Positive attitude with exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent planning, communication, time-management and follow-through skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
Desirable
Experience working with a software or technology B2B company
Previous experience organizing and hosting webinars
Understanding of image editing (Canva, Photoshop, etc.)
Video recording and editing experience
