Position Overview:
The Payroll Specialist will report into the Payroll Delivery Lead on the Payroll Operations Team and be part of a global group of associates responsible for the execution of Payroll processes from pre-payroll inputs to delivery of payroll remuneration to associates for an assigned group of countries/legal entities.
This role will require a close working relationship with the People Services teams, including Total Rewards, Human Capital Management, Global Compensation, and Executive Services, as well as Payroll vendors.
The Payroll Specialist's primary focus is on supporting the payrolls by gathering manual payroll earnings & deductions inputs and updating import templates for submission to payroll providers in line with predetermined cut off dates. Leverages systems such as Workday, and time & attendance systems.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
Execute/assist with inquiries of payroll data from various sources including Salesforce, third party vendors and shared email in-box.
Manage assigned payroll processing cycle end-to-end process with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver the targeted outcome of 100% accuracy and timeliness.
Analyzing transactional data for decision support
Quality assurance and review of payroll (internal or delivered via a third-party vendor)
Provides timely response to queries within the designated scope of escalated in case management tool
Provide inputs to KPI's with regard to tracking payroll delivery, measuring timeliness, accuracy and service delivery with regard to strategic payroll vendor and their local in-country payroll partners. Also track errors to drive internal performance and monitor the efficiency of the end-to-end process
Education Requirements:
Typically requires a University Degree (Bachelor) or equivalent experience
Related Work Experience:
Typically requires at least 4 years of prior relevant experience
Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related discipline
Functional Skills:
2+ years' experience with payroll processing/administration
Business level English language oral and written communication fluency essential
2+ years' experience with third-party payroll and time & attendance systems
Must demonstrate resourcefulness, attention to detail and the ability to work well within virtual teams
Exceptional organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
