The Crisis Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading crisis response strategies across the Asurion APAC and Japan regions. This role ensures the region and organization is prepared for and can effectively respond to international emergencies, including geopolitical conflicts, natural disasters, pandemics, cyber incidents, and supply chain disruptions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, international relations, and emergency response, with the ability to operate under pressure in complex, high-stakes environments.As a member of the Global Security & Risk team, the Crisis Manager will work with regional country leaders, crisis management teams and support functions to ensure proper planning and execution prior to, during and after an incident and/or crisis. The Crisis Manager will work with and interact with the Global Business Resiliency team and Security Operation Centers to allow for a consistency approach and response to said incidents and/or crisis'.Responsibilities include:Crisis Preparedness & Planning
Develop and maintain global crisis management plans and protocols.
Conduct risk assessments and scenario planning for international operations.
Coordinate with regional teams to ensure alignment with local regulations and cultural considerations.
Incident Response
Lead cross-functional crisis response teams during international emergencies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership during crises.
Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and international partners as needed.
Training & Exercises
Design and deliver crisis simulation exercises and training programs.
Build awareness and readiness across global teams.
Communication & Reporting
Develop internal and external communication strategies during crises.
Provide timely updates and post-incident reports to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Conduct after-action reviews and implement lessons learned.
Monitor global trends and emerging threats to update crisis strategies.
