About the Role
 
We're looking for a Business Development Representative (Mechanical Engineering) to join our growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines outbound sales experience with a background in Mechanical Engineering or engineering simulation.
 
In this role, you'll introduce our engineering solutions to manufacturers, product development teams, and engineering leaders across North America. You'll be responsible for identifying prospective customers, engaging decision-makers, and scheduling qualified meetings for our sales team.

What You'll Do
Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn.
Identify and engage engineering leaders, product development teams, manufacturers, and other target customers.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads to identify business opportunities.
Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team with key decision-makers.
Build rapport and establish credibility through consultative conversations.
Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking.
Collaborate with the Head of Sales to refine outreach strategies, messaging, and target accounts.
Consistently achieve outreach, pipeline, and meeting booking goals.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR), Sales Development Representative (SDR), Lead Generation Specialist, Appointment Setter, Inside Sales Representative, Sales Engineer, or Technical Sales Representative.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Experience with cold calling and outbound prospecting.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Comfortable speaking with engineering and technical stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
Available to work during US Pacific Time business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling engineering software, industrial solutions, manufacturing technologies, or other B2B technical products.
Familiarity with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), engineering simulation, physics simulation, CAD, or product development workflows.
Experience working with manufacturers, engineering firms, or semiconductor companies.
Experience using CRM platforms and sales engagement tools.
