An interesting opportunity has arisen that would allow the successful applicant to join a start-up to help supporting its client in the financial markets. The ideal applicant will bring previous experience in supporting global organization's users, and providing high-quality deskside support services to users, with emphasis on providing access to technology and information within business support hours and within the dedicated shifts.
The role must maintain, analyse, troubleshoot and repair hardware and computer systems. The candidate must have excellent communication and technical skills, as well as proven experience of supporting users at various levels of seniority, including Managing Partners (C-level).
This role is varied and requires tech-savvy candidate who are self-motivated to provide high standard customer support with minimal supervision.
It is vital you possess good communication skills. The right applicant will have experience being a hands-on technical individual able to operate in the weeds when necessary but also at improving processes and technical operations across the team.

Skills:
ITIL framework (V3/V4) and best practices practitioner with 3 to 5 years' experience, specifically with Incident & Problem management duties
Providing 'hands on' support at the user's desk: including fault-finding, diagnosis and rectification, customer guidance and acting as an IT representative and interface
Ensure all calls are logged and updated in the Service Desk logging application
Desktop & Laptop builds and installations
Must be able to support end users' needs and technical support with any end point devices
Application deployments
Benchmarking and reporting performance for all PCs / Laptops
Troubleshooting 2nd line end point device configuration issues
2nd level market data application support, installation and configuration
Meeting IT support requests to deliver a 'no fail' service, whether in the office or remote
Able to follow process and report using incident/service management ticketing system
Using diagnostic tools to identify root problems ideal candidate must be able to take initiative and ownership of reported end-user problems
Excellent communication and technical skills to communicate with any stakeholder's level
Excellent presentation skills to conduct video and audio conferencing implementations
Passion for problem-solving
A Level standard or equivalent (essential)
University or degree level (desirable)
IT support experience in the financial industry, private equity would be beneficial
Experience of quality assurance and procedure.
Experience in administration & remote deployment using AirWatch
Desirable:
Extensive technical knowledge in advance Windows (10), Android and Apple OS
In-depht understanding of the Windows registry and logs
Remote deployment tools (e.g. SCCM, Tivoli etc.)
SQL 2008, 2012
MS Access, Project, Visio
Knowledge in Market Data (e.g. Reuters, Bloomberg)
Apple Mac OSX and iOS
Endpoint Security tools ie Cybereason, Proofpoint
In depth knowledge of Cyber Security
Experience in working in a regulated financial firm
