QA MANAGER
 
Work Hours: Monday to Saturday
Work Location: Lahug, Cebu City
Pay Range: P 29,000 to P 30,000 per month
 
Summary:
 
The QA Manager ensures that all products meet established quality standards, food safety requirements, regulatory and customer specifications. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), leading quality assurance initiatives, and leading a food safety culture across the organization. The QA Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all quality tasks, policies, procedures, and systems are effectively implemented and consistently conform to the company's quality requirements and government regulatory standards.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all quality and food safety documents are controlled, updated, and accessible.
Lead food safety audits (internal, external, and third-party).
Oversee product inspections, sensory evaluations, and laboratory testing.
Monitor and analyze quality trends, recommend and implement process improvements, and drive CAPA to reduce defects, waste, and non-conformances.
Prepare for and host customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality and food safety.
Conduct internal audits according to the audit schedule.
Supervise, coach, and develop QA/QC team members.
Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Chem Tech, or any science related courses.
At least 3 years of experience in a QA managerial role within food manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience in Research and Development
Strong attention to detail, with problem-solving and documentation skills
Additional training in Quality Management is an advantage
In-depth understanding of standards and regulatory requirements
High level of integrity, initiative, and professional accountability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, and growing company
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
