QA Supervisor - cheese lineLTHFood Industries Inc.

QA Supervisor is responsible in effective implementation of the company's food quality and safety policies to ensure the manufacture of quality and safe goods. He/ she shall work closely with the QA Department Head and with the other supervisors who are involved in Plant Operations. He/ she shall give instructions to his/ her staff based on QA Department's objectives.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Reports directly to and works closely with the QA Manager
Supervises QA Laboratory staff, QC In-Line, and QC Inspectors (CHEESE LINE)
Ensure that Good Laboratory Practices are properly observed and that QC Monitoring is aligned with the updated Quality Plan per processing line
Assures that the condition of processing line and warehouses is acceptable based on cGMP and GWP requirements at a minimum
Coordinates the evaluation of line samples and finished goods samples and reviews the results
Monitors and Updates Product Releasing, Items On-Hold, and Line Rejects
Maintains and reviews QA Procedures, Work Instructions, and Monitoring Reports
Assists QMS in reviewing and updating QA Documents
Creates additional procedures and work instructions as needed
Reviews and ensures timely and accurate updating of all QA Reports
Guarantees that the laboratory supplies and QA tools are functional and sufficient for the staff to carry out their assignments or tasks
Conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCA) together with Production to possibly address any of the following: Line Deviation or Customer Complaint
Participates in all Food Safety and Quality Management System related audits, i.e. Internal cGMP, Regulatory, HACCP Review, Food Safety Certification, etc.
Actively recommends process improvements that shall positively impact Quality and Safety
Assists QMS in conducting Food Safety and/ or Technical Training
Evaluates the performance of his/ her staff and identifies training needs.
Objectively recommends either promotion, regularization or contract termination of his/ her staff according to the outcome of performance evaluation.
 
Work Experience
At least 3 years of experience as Senior Analyst or Officer 1 in a Food and Beverage Manufacturing, Meat Processing, or Feeds Manufacturing setup
Having a Team Leader or Supervisory experience is an advantage.
Academic Background
BS Chemistry, BS Chem. Eng, BS Food Tech, BS Bio major in Micro or any Food Science-allied courses
