The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket to ensure efficient store management, excellent customer service, achievement of sales targets, and proper supervision of staff. The role ensures that store standards, company policies, and operational procedures are consistently implemented.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Store Operations
Manage day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
Ensure proper opening and closing of the store.
Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and product display standards.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and government regulations.
Sales & Inventory Management
Monitor daily sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Oversee inventory levels, stock ordering, receiving, and proper storage.
Prevent losses through effective inventory control and loss prevention measures.
Ensure product availability, proper pricing, and correct labeling.
Customer Service
Ensure excellent customer service at all times.
Handle customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries professionally.
Promote a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports.
Submit reports to management accurately and on time.
Monitor cash handling, deposits, and sales reconciliation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (preferred).
At least 2-3 years of experience in retail or supermarket operations.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge of inventory management and POS systems.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Honest, reliable, and customer-oriented.
Willing to work on flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
