MSCI Inc. is seeking to expand its ESG Client Service team. MSCI ESG Research is a leading provider of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) research to institutional investors globally. Successful candidates will have a financial background, client service experience, and exhibit an interest for the ESG business. They should have proven abilities to develop strong working relationships with external clients, learn MSCI ESG Research products and guide clients to better use those products.
As MSCI ESG Research continues to grow, our clients span some of the world's largest pension funds and asset managers. Managing the relationships for a portfolio of clients exposes associates to a wide range of institution types and ensures a challenging role with daily client interactions. To succeed in the role, associates must learn about ESG products and issues, about their client's line of business and investment process, and then bring that knowledge together to provide insight and best practices to those client organizations. Client service team members must be adaptable, eager problem solvers, and able to lead cross-organization teams. Great communications skills are a must as they represent MSCI to all levels of client management.

Your key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of the APAC Client Service team based in Manila catering to the inquiries raised by MSCI global clients in the field of ESG research and investment raised during APAC hours. Said candidate will provide support to clients in their use of MSCI's ESG Research data via dedicate platform MSCI ESG Manager, data feeds through FTP delivery, and MSCI ESG Research data on 3rd party platforms. His responsibilities include but not limited to:
Monitor and ensure client satisfaction
Assist with day to day query allocation and resolution of operational client queries
Act as liaison between client and internal MSCI ESG Research teams for key client initiatives
Manage client inquiry and issue resolution process using SalesForce.com and other internal tools
Identify accounts at risk and assist with plans to ensure revenue and client retention
Conduct calls with clients (health checks, training, relationship planning and review, analyst meetings)
Identify and communicate up-sell opportunities to sales team
The successful candidate will also be responsible in (a) coordinating with Global ESG Client Service Team for any inquiries outside APAC hours, (b) ensuring that complex queries are routed to the appropriate global teams within specified SLA whilst keeping clients updated on the status of the query in a timely fashion, and (c) collaborating with other Client Service teams globally to help address ad hoc requests from global Sales teams.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
At least 1-year relevant working experience with a bachelor's degree is required. MBA/Master's in Finance, Economics, International Relations or related field, or CFA is beneficial
Experience in external client servicing for financial institutions, ESG, climate change, and corporate governance related research and service is a plus
Strong knowledge of financial institutions and investment processes, as well as interest in ESG and how ESG factors impact investment processes
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and can work individually within a team, with excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, as well as strong attention to detail
Innovative, motivated, client-oriented, and commercially aware thinker, as well as a team player able to effectively manage expectations of a diverse and demanding client base
Demonstrated project management skills-can define scope, resources and timelines and manage to deliverables, and can work efficiently with diverse cultures in a global team
Adept in the use of Microsoft Office and tools, and Korean Language skills is a plus
