We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager, Tax Compliance
The purpose of this role is to directly and actively provide support to effectively and efficiently manage tax risks and liabilities and maximize tax advantage.
In this role, you will:
Manage tax risks and liabilities of the bank, including the identification , assessment, mitigation, control and reporting of tax risks and liabilities.
Advocate and ensure local tax compliance and adherence to Group tax strategy and policy.
Improve, manage and meet the expectations of the Line of Businesses and operating units in terms of support and priorities.
Ensure Manila local tax reporting requirements and deadlines are met in an effective and efficient manner.
Safeguard the entities from potential losses and/or tax exposures by close monitoring of tax compliance in relation to existing tax rules and changes thereof and established industry practices.
Support the implementation of the Group's effective tax risk management framework
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Accountant with at least two years exposure in the financial industry taxation.
Should be able to work independently with less supervision, has an eye for details, has the ability to easily spot areas of concern/improvements and possess the ability to prioritise tasks.
