The Technical and Customer Service Supervisor, serves as the Lead Chemist, is responsible for ensuring adherence to the quality control and assurance requirements of all materials, including but not limited to raw material and finished good, of the company, and in developing effective working relations with other departments and the company's clients to successfully meet the objective of long-term customer satisfaction.Likewise, the position provides support to the Technical and Customer Service Manager for the oversight of the successful day-to-day operation of the department, and in monitoring and evaluating the compliance of the laboratory on policies and regulations affecting its operation.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Quality Assurance and Management
1 Evaluate and/or assess before, during and after quality assurance tests in accordance to the set standard testing procedure, method, and specification, and conduct the actual test in the absence of his/her subordinates.
2 Ensure systematic workflow in the central laboratory by proper timing of assigned tests in order of priority, and all laboratory resources, including but not limited to reagents, are adequate enough to avoid delay of testing.
3 Ensure all samples tested are retained according to the assigned retention frequency.
4 Facilitate the identification of necessary resources and information that will support the operation of the company's laboratory.
5 Ensure that central laboratory's records are accurate, complete, updated, controlled and maintained.
6 Produce monthly report showing the performance of the department including all laboratory result.
B. Laboratory and Equipment Maintenance
1 Keep track on the calibration status of all laboratory testing devices and equipment of the company, and perform basic maintenance, repair, evaluation and calibration.
2 Maintain the central laboratory in accordance to standards for housekeeping, health, safety, security and environmental protection.
C. Handling of Non-conformities
1 Inform client and all applicable department for any non-conforming material for immediate disposition, and monitor its status.
2 Ensure that all non-conformities or deviations are documented and investigated, and that the appropriate correction, corrective and preventive actions are effected in time to prevent further actual or potential losses to the company.
D. Customer Service
1 Ensure that all matters with internal and external customers including inquiries are timely responded in a courteous manner, and complaints are resolve in an efficient and timely manner.
E. Others
1 Comply with plant safety and housekeeping practices/standards as well as fire prevention rules.
2 Perform other related functions as may be assigned from time to time.

V. QUALIFICATIONS
A. Essential Competencies
1 Must be a licensed Chemist and a graduate of Chemistry or Biochemistry.
2 Must have at least 2 years work experience, preferably in a supervisory level, especialized in quality control and assurance, and in similar line of work in a resin manufacturing company.
3 Must be systematic, receptive, keen on details, creative and trustworthy.
4 Must have no allergies to chemicals.
5 Must have good interpersonal relationship skills - able to effectively and professionally interface/ interact with people of any position in the organization.
6 Must be computer literate.
7 Must have good oral and written communication skills.
