Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain fixed asset records.
Track capital spending for approved appropriation requests.
Ensure that fixed asset expenditures and depreciation are recorded accurately in location general ledgers.
Prepare journal entries during month-end close.
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Prepare for and assist with periodic audits.
Provide various reports as requested for the Tax department and other parties.
Participate in the forecasting of future months' capital spending.
Prepares Economic Evaluations as needed for Appropriation Requests.
Communicate with various members of Vertiv management regarding the status of open Appropriation Requests.
Preparation of the capital spending budget.
Complete special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA in accounting or finance; preferably with 2-3 years of experience
Good communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines.
Work well under pressure.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Fixed asset records are accurate, complete and in balance with the General Ledger.
Journal entries are completed correctly and submitted on time.
Financial statement information is accurate and on time.
Balance sheet accounts are analyzed and reconciled in a timely manner.
