We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer for Production Support to join our growing Workforce Management organization. A DAY IN A LIFE TYPICALLY INCLUDES:
Work alongside developers and other support engineers to perform triage, root cause analysis,
debugging and troubleshooting of product issues
Help maintain our knowledge base of best practices, known issues and solutions and extend our
support infrastructure by crafting and writing diagnostic tools/scripts
Work as part of a dynamic Agile team to develop and deliver our enterprise scheduling solution
Collaborate with designers and UI developers to bring the designs to life
Learn functional and technical details of the product.
Improve software performance, scalability, stability and usability.
Technically review and functionally test the work of other team members.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
An undergraduate or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent experience
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
1+ years of Java development experience, including knowledge Spring Framework
Experience with web application development: HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery
Experience with Databases and SQL
1+ years of experience in any of these databases: Oracle, Postgres, DB2, MySQL
Strong grasp of relational database concepts
Experience with application servers such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM Web Sphere, JBoss
Experience with cloud and hosting infrastructure (Amazon AWS and/or others).
Good leadership and communication with self-starter attitude and attention to detail
Ability to quickly grasp concepts, analyze problems and provide innovative solutions
Strong written and oral communication skills
WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD:
Previous technical dev or support experience in a technical production environment
Exposure to:
Servlets, Web Services
HTML5, CSS, COMPASS, SASS, LESS
AJAX, JSON, SOAP, REST
Experience with least one of Angular2, AngularJS, React, Node.js
Understanding of different OS Memory management strategies, heap structure, and design patterns;
Good knowledge of TDD and Unit testing
Experience with a Time and Attendance or Scheduling application is a plus
