Our client, Singapore based Hyperscale facility service provider who believes strongly in taking responsibility and ownership for the DC facilities and systems they operate and maintain. They are looking to build the largest hyperscale facility in Philippines and it will be fully powered by renewable energy in the form of wind and geothermal power.
They are looking to hire an experience an Design Manager to manage the operationally design coordination for the major data centre project as the lead design manager
The Design Manager is responsible for delivering the defined scope of services in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory and planning controls, and will have deep technical knowledge and broad business experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountable and responsible for project design coordination for the data center.
Responsible for benefits management in related project.
Responsible for managing the delivery of all design related aspects of the business case in related to the project.
Leads and performance manages the project design team stakeholders.
Delivers aspects of the vision in related project design.
Leads governing bodies/groups related to project design.
Managing client and stakeholder relationships.
Reports to the project director.
Requirements:
Independent: able to work with a minimum supervision.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
Strong technical design management capabilities.
Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; analyse data; ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations and systems of internal control; interpret and evaluate results, prepare documentation; create project reports and/or presentations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping.
Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in project management and keep current with developments and trends. Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.
Bachelor degree or equivalent (Architecture, Design, Construction or Engineering).
Experience with design management in data centre projects.
Professionally qualified on the related discipline (e.g ARB, APMP).
10+ years of experience including design management of data centre projects.
Conversant to a competent level with Microsoft Windows, Primavera P6 or MS-Office (incl MS-Project Management).
Proficient in English and other languages is a plus.
