Johnson & Johnson Global Services is recruiting for a Senior Specialist Accountant to lead the Account to Report (A2R) Global Compensation and Benefits Accounting. The role will be based in Paranaque City, Philippines.
The Senior Specialist Accountant, is responsible for service delivery for specific Account-to-Report Global process functions serviced by GS Finance-Manila in J&J. This is an exciting opportunity to work on transitioning global processes into Manila and optimizing these processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the end-to-end activities in Global Account-to-Report processes according to WWP
Drives aspects of planning, forecasting and reporting of specific Global Account-to-Report processes where applicable
Develop subject matter expertise to provide leadership and guidance across the assigned specific Global Account-to-Report area
Nominated "go to" point person for a region/sector, executing the process team's outward interactions with other process teams & CFM's
Proactively identify, resolve and follow-up errors and causes of errors.
Ensure timeliness, accuracy and quality of work and service by ATR team through regular review, checks and approval.
Handle risks through mitigation and escalation.
Ensure that documentations are complete and up-to-date.
Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities - ensure staff are available as required.
Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings.
Regular focus on Balance sheets to minimize open items.
Ensure successful migration of new work/activities into Global Services
Accurate and timely month-end reporting. Meet all corporate and regional deadlines.
Qualifications
Education:
At least a University degree in a finance related field or equivalent with professional certification (e.g. CPA)
Experience and Skills:
Required:
At least 4-6 years experience in the ATR function
Experience in shared services center of a multinational corporation desirable
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to read, understand, verbally exchange information and compose written material for business purposes in English
Ability to express ideas and information in an organized and logical manner
Quantitative and analytical skills for problem solving and issue /risk mitigation
Innovates and effects continuous improvement
Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and processes
Strong knowledge of concepts, principles and procedures for ATR process and most specific focus on the MRCs/function in scope
Ability to identify areas of improvement to work effectiveness and efficiency, and drive necessary action to completion
Demonstrate sound work ethics, respect, team building, and cultural sensitivity and awareness
Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiating and influencing skills
This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and proven leadership. The ability to work independently and balance multiple tasks at a time is required
Preferred:
Account to Report, Payroll Accounting knowledge and experience is preferred
Financial Planning knowledge and experience is preferred
Other:
This position will require up to 5% international travel
The position will be assigned on a night shift
