PRIMARY FUNCTION
A Senior Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for end-to-end email marketing strategy, including writing copy, managing email database and segments, compiling newsletters, and more. This individual will work closely with the sales and marketing teams, particularly leadership, to identify how to best target user groups and develop the email content theyre seeking. The ideal candidate will collaborate across functions to deliver an effective email marketing strategy to meet the business objectives in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
Keep up with cutting edge industry trends and tools that provides more accuracy, efficiency and additional insights.
Generate regular reports that measure key metrics such as users driven by email, active subscribers, unsubscribes, deliverability, click through rate and conversions, etc. and share with internal stakeholders as needed.
Present clear, succinct, and actional reports for the Marketing Team and for all levels of the organization, including the CEO.
Continuously improve and enhance reports as well as identify and create new ones from observations and hypothesis
Increase sales funnel or customer journey conversions by creating email campaigns (automated and non-automated) specifically addressing each phase of the funnel or journey
Use rich media by utilizing Gif, video, HTML and CSS animations and available platform content blocks
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize experiences throughout the acquisition funnel to drive conversions and lead generation
Crosscheck marketing data form email platform against Shopify data with a small acceptable margin of error
Research competition, investigate benchmarks, and provide suggestions for improvement
At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role within an e-commerce environment using Shopify
Certification and proficiency with email newsletter tools such as Sendinblue, Getresponse, Klavio, Mailchimp or any other top email service.
Experience in creating and managing segments
Experience in running A/B and multivariate experiments
Experience in automation and flows to generate drip and nurture campaigns.
Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
Familiarity in responsive email design and cross-client compatibility
Deep understanding and familiarity of current tracking methods such as UTM, pixel, cookies, tags etc.
Ability to coordinate across different time zones and to work remotely.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and technical skills and the ability to make recommendations based on data insights.
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changeable environment, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring high-quality outcomes
Strong work ethic and contributes a very professional attitude towards all aspects of work.
