Scope of the Role
The role is to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley s404 compliance within the global Diageo SOX framework. The overall purpose of the role is to provide central risk management, control oversight, and SOX governance over DBS Financial Controller (FC) tower, delivering a best-in-class control environment in DBS, increase control and compliance awareness and coordinate / ensure smooth delivery of internal control procedures.
Accountabilities
Lead the Control & Audit compliance agenda across the Budapest Financial Controlling (FC) Department
Coach and coordinate of Controls & Risk specialists; set priorities, delegate tasks, and monitor progress against deadlines and plans
Support the management in delivering a best-in-class control environment, increase control and compliance awareness, and coordinate internal and external audits
Proactively support the FC Internal Controls Manager in the reporting period with overall messages and statistics generation, consolidate results, prepare draft reporting, collect oversights within the team
Support Diageo projects, migrations, outsourcing, organizational changes, provide SOX expertise
Actively contribute to the implementation of Control Assurance COE department strategy primarily in his/her area
Point of contact for DBS process owners, and certain FC Service Delivery teams as appropriate, using the most suitable communication channel and escalation route
Timely and effective communication of the key SOX / CARM messages and results to the relevant internal and external stakeholders
Experience required/Skills/capabilities/Languages
4-5 years' relevant tax experience in SSC and/or FMCG/Big 4 advisory environment
University/College degree in accountancy/finance/business
Excellent English knowledge
3 - 4 years audit (internal/external) and/or SOX experience which can be replaced by thorough shared service process understanding, financial controller background
Semi qualified/CA / MBA / ACCA/ CPA / or other equivalent degree in accounting/knowledge of automation/BOT implementation
Solution focused mindset
Good knowledge of SAP
Preliminary LEAN/Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage
Ability to draw insights from the analytics
Middle Management stakeholder engagement skills
