Qualifications:
Must be a CPA .
Must have at least 2-year work experience or exposure on CAPEX project accounting, control, and reporting processes.
Experience (or working knowledge) in Project/construction accounting in water or other utilities industry is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Manages CAPEX Accounting, Governance and Reporting functions within MWO. Plans, implements and monitors implementation of appropriate actions and controls that contribute in mitigating corporate risks such as Regulatory Compliance Risk and Statutory Risks.
Reviews and endorses for approval applications for material provisional supplements, as to correctness and compliance.
Creates & releases CAPEX budget only for fully approved Business Cases, Variation orders and material provisional budget supplement ·
Assists in the deliverables related to CAPEX budget forecasting and re-forecasting.
Reviews source documents vs reports as to accuracy and correctness.
Ensures that built-in controls, policies, and processes within the phases of the entire budget cycle are observed.
Ensures the ff:
- PL & BS closing timelines are met
- All PL & BS closing deliverables are met
- Actual costs accumulated per on-going project are accurate
- No significant errors in entries posted
Ensures proper and efficient execution of monthly project closing activities and deliverables. These closing tasks include, but not limited to:
- Journal voucher for the allocation of Capitalized E&S
Manages dependencies and resolution of any issues related to the CAPEX financial closing
