Responsibilities:
To perform prior authorization for prescription, procedure, and office visits, INFANT FORMULA ELIGIBILITY AND PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS.
Review chart documentation to ensure patient meets medical policy guidelines. Document eligibility, benefit and authorization information in accordance with established guidelines.
Prioritize incoming authorization requests according to urgency. Verify prior authorizations and/or pre-service requirements are met.
Initiate appeals for denied authorizations
Provide outstanding customer service to patients and develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and other external customers.
Follows written and verbal communications; also follows all PCP's health and safety policies and procedures.
