Job Description
What will a normal day look like?
The IT Specialist - Desktop Support Engineer's role is to ensure proper computer and software operation and to assist end users when problems occur, so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritising, documenting and actively resolving end user requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and tracking tools as well as a requirement for the individual to give in-person, hands-on Help desk assistance.
Qualifications
Must have at least three (3) years relevant experience preferably in a call centre or BPO setting.
Must be a graduate of BS Information Technology or equivalent.
Must be amenable to work onsite in Mall of Asia Business Complex
Advanced training in one or more Microsoft applications (Windows, Office etc.).
Experience supporting Telephony & VOIP technologies.
Experience supporting MS SharePoint/MS Operating environments.
Knowledge in basic network troubleshooting.
Skilled in hands-on hardware trouble shooting
Experience in Microsoft Front Office products; Outlook, Word Excel and PowerPoint.
A thorough understanding of most aspects of IT Infrastructure (servers, desktops laptops, switches etc.).
A thorough understanding of current hardware and software technologies and a genuine interest in the future of information technology.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
