Payroll Processing:
End to end processing of clients'/customers' payroll(s) including bonuses, adjustments, and ad-hoc requests
Process at least 1,000 to 3,000 client employee headcount
Handle at least 1 module for an account with at least 5,000 to 10,000 client employee headcount
Collate information for above processes, produce reports and journals, and file
Prepare, code, and process journals for employee provisions (when applicable)
Reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts
Preparation of various payroll related reports for managers
Termination and redundancy calculations as required
End of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries, Tax Annualization, and other associated reports.
Alphalist Reconciliation
Day-to-day coordination of the assigned payroll functions
Work with teammates to deliver accurate and timely payroll.
Coordinate with client management and staff regarding payroll inquiries
Serve as Tier 2 support group for the contact center team.
Back-Up Resource/ Validator/Checker:
Perform checker/validator roles for payroll processes of other members of the team
Check and validate of all assigned payrolls, ensuring 100% compliance to statutory, regulatory, and organizational policies
Serve as a back-up resource for other members of the team ensuring business continuity
Identify and implement of simple process improvement initiatives
Raise issues and risks encountered in operations
Assist in the maintenance of process documentations ensuring processes are accurately captured and compliant to acceptable global standards
Technical and Functional Knowledge which includes, but is not limited to:
Be up-to-date and informed of existing process flows
Collaborate with the support functions to be abreast of changes and new system functionalities.
Cascade to team new and updated information.
Reporting which includes, but is not limited to:
Assist in the generation and creation of client-specific and internal reporting requirements
Support internal reporting requirements - productivity and efficiency, performance, and service delivery
Participate in service delivery reviews with client/customer and internal management team (when necessary)
Leads the completion of process documentation.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of Accounting or any Finance related course
Minimum: 4-year course / degree
With training in payroll and/or compensation and benefits administration.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience as a payroll processor for an employee base of not less than 500 headcount, and can handle end-to-end processing.
Experience in outsourced payroll services as a service provider is a plus.
Experience in managing 1-2 clients in varying industries.
Minimum of at least 2 years of experience as a payroll processor.
Knowledgeable in end-to-end payroll processing
Demonstrates ability in working using different MS Office tools.
Demonstrates great deal of customer service focus and attention to details
Good written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the following payroll processes:
o Calculation and payment of termination payments (resignation/retirement/redundancy) o Payment and reconciliation of bonus payments o Calculation, payment and reconciliation of payroll tax o Preparation and reconciliation of monthly General Ledger wages journals o Preparation and reconciliation of payment summaries o Preparation of ad hoc reports as required. o Experience in Alphalist Reconciliation is a plus.
Basic understanding of different payroll platforms.
Basic knowledge in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, etc.
Basic presentation skills
With experience in performing root cause analysis (4D and 8D is a plus)
Experience in process documentation
