FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy. Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies. Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by department, location, country, etc. Coordinates third party payroll system implementations and upgrades. Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly. Owns payroll accounting and coordinates with General Ledger and compliance with government payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law. May assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation. Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff. Heavy on coordination with Bank, Government offices and Internal and external partners.
FUNCTIONAL/BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE:
· In-charge of coordinating with partners to ensure payroll process is seamless from timekeeping to employee payout, this includes but not limited to coordination with ADP, Treasury and local bank
· Ensuring all government submissions for BIR, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-ibig are submitted accurately and timely; this would include physical visit to government offices
· Focal in providing compensation and benefit information to partners such as General Ledger and external auditors
· Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
· General application of concepts and principles.
· Demonstrates project management skills and successful track record of completion
· Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
SCOPE:
· End to End ownership of payroll process.
· Receives general oversight and guidance on approaches to compete project related tasks.
· Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
· Develops solutions to a variety of problems.
· Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
JUDGEMENT:
· Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
· Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
· With experience in Payroll system (Ex. ADP) and government remittance web banking
