POSITION / TITLE: Patient Services Representative (PSR) - Temporary Work from Home
SCOPE OF WORK: This position is responsible for ensuring that patient collections are effectively resolved and accurately processed in a timely manner.
CREDENTIALS / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
Preferably RN but not required.
Medical terminology and medical insurance industry experience (preferred).
BPO experience set up (working nights - talking to Americans)
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate ability to identify different claims type (e.g. INN/ OON claims).
Take incoming calls from patient regarding outstanding amount owed.
Effectively communicate with patient regarding insurance benefit and patient- pay responsibility.
Investigate any billing issues patients have whether that is insurance or self- pay related.
Maintain accurate patient charts when detailing call content and action.
Process patient payments including payment plan and credit cards.
Effective balance transfer paid patient amounts.
Process any related patient pay correspondents.
Coordinates any required discussion on an insurance explanation of benefits advice and patient and peers.
Request and coordinate missing claim information with peers.
Successfully identify collection accounts and coordinate with peers.
Assist patients in creating their online accounts and resetting passwords.
Assist patient with claim status calls to their insurance company.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and internet browsing.
Well organized and detailed oriented with excellent follow-through.
Ability to complete task within a given time frame. Foster sense of urgency and follow through to resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
Works well with others regardless of their level of background. Is respectful and maintains collegial and positive relationships even under stressful or difficult circumstances; deals with different points of view or disagreements in a constructive successful manner.
Ability to function well while involved in multiple task assignments and fast - paced environment.

Language: Intermediate ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning: Intermediate ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Computer hardware:
• Windows Computer (Desktop or laptop)
• At least Core Intel i5 or equivalent
• Must have 8GB RAM
• Must have at least 30GB free disk space available
• Dual Screen Display monitor (preferred but not required)
• One available USB port for the headset
• One noise-canceling headset
Computer Software:
• Operating system must be Windows 10 (Home or Pro )
• Must have latest windows updates
• Must have an antivirus installed and updated
Internet Service:
• Should have cable or fiber internet service.
• Minimum upload speed (25mbps)
