Oversees daily operations of the travel department, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient travel arrangements, and compliance with industry standards. The role includes managing staff, building partnerships with travel providers, creating travel packages, and driving business growth while maintaining a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage the daily operations of the travel and tourism office.
Supervise, train, and support staff to ensure efficient performance and excellent customer service.
Develop and promote travel packages, tours, and customized itineraries for clients.
Negotiate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other service providers for competitive rates and partnerships.
Monitor travel trends, industry regulations, and emerging destinations to improve service offerings.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting for the department.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience in the travel and tourism industry, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in travel booking systems, reservation platforms, and MS Office tools.
Knowledge of international travel regulations, visa requirements, and tourism trends.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
