Primary Function
Provide strategic leadership, planning, execution and management of Key Accounts activities to increase revenue and growth within agreed expense budget, optimize market penetration and meet organizational objectives.
Leading, developing and motivating the Sales Team to achieve desired business outcome and to achieve sales force excellence.
B2B Management and sustain SAM initiatives in delivering value to customers and sales generation for the company
Proper forecasting of customer requirements to ensure available supply at the time needed and also avoid over/under inventories
Ensure proper handling of all brand management matters in the case of the Aquaculture business (pricing, copy/communications development, media, advertising, research, etc.) and ensure positive brand health on relevant priorities.
Responsibilities
The delivery of sales and organization objectives through effective leadership and management performance of sales team.
Manage and Development staff: oversee hiring, evaluating performance, defining and assigning responsibilities, providing opportunities for career development, improving and assessing departmental procedures in accordance with company objectives.
Plan, direct, and coordinate sales strategies and activities by managing team resources and incorporating department initiatives to develop and implement sales plans designed to maximize profits and exceed targeted goals.
Prepares and develop target sales plan by determining customer needs, projecting volume potential developing price schedules and promote specific products to establish forecasts and agent goals.
Researches relevant market activities and technical development and coordinates information on competitors and customers to support Global and Regional Marketing goals.
Work actively to foster collaborative environment between Sales and Marketing department.
Plan and coordinate departmental budget strategies and activates by setting objectives, monitoring policies and practices, making expenditure recommendations, allocating resources and operating within set targets to control costs and ensure successful departmental operations.
Advance sales force effectiveness by identifying individuals with leadership potential, providing, mentoring and enrichment opportunities consistent with succession planning including training coaching and counseling.
To ensure that effective working relationships are in place across the multi-disciplinary team within the function thorough communication of the business unit vision, clarify of direction and leading by example.
Partner with Technical and Marketing to ensure sales, marketing and technical programs are- implemented in speedy and quality manner. To report adverse events and product complaints as per global and local regulatory requirements.
Adhere to company policies, procedures when interacting, and promoting products to customers, to protect the Elanco brand and business.
Requirements:
DVM, Business/Finance & Social Sciences. Preferably Master's Degree in MBA from reputable university.
Minimum 10-15 years of sales function experience and have been in indirect and direct Managerial roles.
With excellent performance record of delivering results and commercial milestones
Must have an established record of accomplishment of significant market exposure and solid training in a leading multinational company.
Prior working experience in the Life Science and heavily regulated industries for Animal Health and Nutrition is preferred.
Solid knowledge of local functional skills
Strong communication skill in English (both written and spoken)
Excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information / situation and able to network effectively across groups and levels.
Possess senior led influence across many functions, having the ability to translate strategic opportunities into operational plans and manage for optimal result through influence.
Clear understanding of commercialization, development and support functions related to the regional and business unit strategy.
Demonstrates strategic thinking capability and ability to apply good judgement across diverse / complex issues.
High flexibility to adjust quickly and effectively to frequent change and altered priorities, and able to work under pressure and compliance with strict deadlines.
Demonstrates the ability to coach and influence senior leaders.
