WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE
This position exists for effective management of the Demand Planning function ensuring integration of business processes between various stakeholders. The objective of this role is to develop demand forecasts with different aggregation levels and multiple time horizons by reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results.
The role also requires to lead cross-functional discussions to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions and to recommend key assumption changes in the demand plan by analyzing local trends, promotional program efficacy, and offtake growth. Further, the position also leads the interaction with the Sales and Supply Planning Team to ensure that the full range of products is always available in JTIP locations nationwide.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop demand forecasts with different aggregation levels and multiple time horizons by reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. Recommend key assumption changes in the demand plan by analyzing local trends, promotional program efficacy, and offtake growth. Facilitate meetings with sales, marketing, and finance to better understand demand forecast drivers.
Provide input to the Supply Planning team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
Together with the Supply Planning team, develop and propose inventory level targets in quantity and days. Recommend options for gaps in demand vs supply and possible courses of action.
Recommend gap-closing initiatives by leading cross-functional meetings in order to ensure supply continuity across the supply chain.
Utilize a collaborative and consensus forecast approach by working with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. Facilitate and lead monthly Demand Review Meetings and present various reports such as Forecast Accuracy Reports, Inventory Ageing, and Out of Stock Monitoring. as part of the Local S&OP process.
Upload to all global systems (Webtool, SAP) all the volume reporting requirements during monthly, LE, and ASP cycles in a timely and correct manner.
To perform any other tasks given by the direct manager.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:
Possess a Degree in Business Administration preferably under Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years experience in demand planning in a sales and distribution environment of the FMCG industry.
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Must be computer literate.
SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
