Your team responsibilities
The Corporate Governance (CG) Content team is part of MSCI's ESG business. Members of this team are involved in the assessment of Corporate Governance data collected and profiled for companies covered by MSCI to ensure that it meets MSCI's standards for quality, timeliness as well as adherence to the MSCI CG Methodology.
Members of the team should have a strong interest in ESG data research and analysis with a core focus on Corporate Governance. CG Content team members are also expected to collaborate and engage with ESG Research and Product teams on strategic improvements regarding data analysis, data quality and methodology.

Your key responsibilities
You will be responsible for helping maintain the quality of business involvement data for companies within the ESG Corporate Governance coverage universe by helping create, perform and maintain systematic QA checks, and automating and visualizing data.
Investigate and support the development of contextual anomaly detection models and other data science-based checks through escalation of edge cases and investigation of data quality issues
Lead and provide support on enhancement projects, including but not limited to, automation and workflow streamlining projects
Develop business understanding of data and data metrics to quantify coverage, quality and stability for existing or new data
Coordinate and accelerate the handling of data requests within ESG Screening team to IT and Data Science teams
Other mandate includes applying data science techniques for data quality assurance and control, automation of data diagnostics, feasibility study for implementing system infrastructure projects, specifications development, testing, etc.
Participate in projects related to ESG quality and data transformation initiatives.
Perform other tasks as deemed by the business
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer/Programming Science, or equivalent with a strong proven background in the creation and maintenance of QA processes and Notebook interface (computational notebook)
Proficiency in programming languages, preferably Python, SQL, and R
At least 5 years of working experience in data quality assurance, data processing, big data analytics and visualization tools
Experience with data quality assurance procedures
Knowledge in reading and analyzing company disclosures, such as annual reports and sustainability reports is an advantage.
Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a collaborative global team environment
Experience working in the ESG industry is preferred
