Manages all manual and automated payments to staff and suppliers. Ensures payments are made in line with relevant legislation, Awards and Fair Work Australia.
Prepare fortnightly payroll, for all agreement (automated payments) and award (manual payments) based employees.
Liaise with outsourced Payroll processing company to affect fortnightly pay runs.
Prepare AP payment cycles, responsible for 3-way processing of AP invoices; and follow-up for unvouchered items;
Preparation of payment requests including ACH and international payments in treasury/bank system, handling of credit note processing and follow-up;
Ensure payments made are accurate and on time, as well as meets legislative, Awards, Employment Agreement and company policy and delegation's requirements.
Ensure that invoices are properly coded to expense type and department code, and ensure that local tax compliance reporting/coding is accurately performed (eg GST, FBT)
Interpret awards / agreements / contracts and educate key stakeholders.
Work with key stakeholders (e.g. Finance, HR and Workforce Planning) to ensure all time sheets, payroll changes, variable payments, records, Invoices, Purchase Orders and other related material is received prior to close of payment run.
Assist Finance with the preparation, balancing and reconciliation of the Payables & Payroll related files (e.g. AP Sub Ledger, payroll tax, group tax, PAYG tax, FBT, superannuation, annual group certificates, group and workers compensation premiums and authorised payroll deductions).
Maintain electronic payroll related records (e.g. leave, change of conditions, variable payments etc.).
Ensure superannuation contribution details are kept up to date and processed fortnightly through payroll.
Calculate both involuntary and voluntary termination payments.
