Job description
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager, the Tax specialist is primarily responsible for the Tax health of Loc&Stor 24/7 by making sure that the company is compliant with BIR requirements, Securities & Exchange Commission, and the LGU.
Files tax returns and attachments.
Identifies Tax exposures and their possible impact on the business.
Recommends and implements improvement in Tax process and compliance.
Communicates with different departments any tax implications and Tax queries.
Assists in preparation of response to tax queries from BIR and auditors.
Computation and reconciles Tax returns.
Secures TIN for purchases outside the Philippines.
Liaises with external auditors for the completion of Statutory reports for submission to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and BIR.
Completes all related accounting processes related to Tax.
Assists the Finance team in the BIR audit.
Processes registration, transfer, and closure of branches when applicable.
Assists the liaison officer in the renewal of Business Taxes for all facilities.
Job Qualification:
The candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any related Business course.
With at least 2-3 years working experience in a related position.
Familiar with Philippine Tax Laws and BIR Regulations.
Ability to work with deadlines and without close supervision.
Proficient with e-BIR forms, eFPS, and other Tax applications used for filing tax returns.
