The Jr. Talent and Learning Specialist contributes to the daily administration and coordination of training functions and events. The role will include researching, organizing, and learning new techniques to better educate trainees. The task will also include assisting in the assessment and development of training programs for employees.
The Jr. Talent and Learning specialist reports to the Talent Management Lead and will help in analyzing/identifying, designing, conducting, and evaluating training and organizational development interventions to address gaps in behavioral and non-technical competencies.
Training Administration and Logistics
The ability to effectively manage the learning environment. This includes preparing materials, equipment, and the venue for learning, implementing established and agreed house rules, and maintaining learner discipline, as well as organizing the class, and managing the time or duration of learning activities.
Prepares materials and equipment and arrange room appropriate to the training requirements.
Leads in the documentation of training attendance and submits this to the LMS team for system recording by coordinating with the facilitator and other stakeholders
Explains house rules, encourages, and motivates people to observe them.
Documents and manage classroom issues within one's control and escalates those beyond one's control to appropriate authority
Training Delivery and Facilitation
The ability to effectively deliver a training design and achieve training objectives. This includes facilitating training for knowledge, skills, behavior, attitude, and any combination of such, demonstrating key knowledge areas and evaluating the effectiveness of training delivery and/or facilitation.
Clearly explains the objectives of learning exercises
Makes necessary preparation to ensure that objectives are met
Adjusts delivery, language, and style that matches learner demographics
Processes learning activity to help participants see how they can be applied at work
Learning Management System Management
The ability to provide efficient and accurate administration and management of the local learning management system which can support learning and development initiatives for employees and facilitate productivity
Extracts data from the learning management system and create reports using pre-defined templates
Performs tasks assigned which will require the use of the learning management system with minimal guidance or supervision
Ensures timeliness and accuracy of reporting by submitting on or before set deadline and reviewing that all data indicated are correct
University / college degree in the field of humanities, business administration or computer engineering or related field of study
0 - 2 years of experience in activities with regards to organizing trainings and seminars for employees according to the needs of a multinational company, especially experience in training coordination, set-up of training material, onboarding programs, introduction trainings and experience in controlling training success
Experience in facilitating or conducting training
Experience in SSC or BPO industry preferred but not required
Microsoft Office knowledge required (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) HR experience desirable
Cultural adaptability
Strong and strategic business understanding and an excellent ability to understand and manage complex situations in a fast-paced environment
With background knowledge in the field of accounting and logistics, preferably but not required
