What IT Service Center contributes to Cardinal Health
IT Service Center is responsible for resolving customer/client technical problems and responding to questions in accordance to service level objectives, processes and procedures. Serves as liaison between customer/client and IT to resolve business issues related to technologies.
Provides leadership and directions to IT support team
Provides technological support to the organizations internal/external users of computer applications and hardware.
Promotes continuous improvement; this may involve others in a planned process improvement efforts and measures and drive efficiency the IT tier 1 support operations
Analyze IT Support activities and develop tool and process improvements to optimize the service and perforance.
Manages IT staff performance, quality, productivity and ensure that standards are met
Answers questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status and downtime procedures.
Serves as a liaison between customer/client and IT to resolve business issues related to technologies.
Collaborates with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development in order to restore service and/or identify problems.
Maintains a troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems.
Qualifications
At least 2 full-years of experience as IT Supervisor or Manager, preferably Service Delivery and Support Desk
5+ years experience in related IT field preferred
ITIL Foundations certification, preferably.
Excellent communication skills with lateral, internal and external customers
Possess strong project management skills with attention to detail
Ability to read and comprehend technical materials and documentations and apply their contents to solving hardware and software problems
Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
What is expected of you and others at this level * Strong and independent leadership skills with the ability to manage and complete varying priorities at the same time and delegate effectively
Comprehensive knowledge of PC hardware platforms, software, applications its components, peripherals, repair techniques and the use of diagnostic tools for troubleshooting problems.
Ensuring that user requests and incidents are effectively resolved either directly or by assignment to the appropriate technical support group or tiers.
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of IT support operations, or business support staff
Administers and executes policies and procedures in accordance to the company standard
Ensures employees operate within guidelines
Decisions have a direct impact on work unit operations and customers
Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers and peer groups at various management levels
Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution
