The Learning Team
Our team is responsible for creating and delivering training to CARE Design Artist and operational support teams. This includes our technical product and service knowledge training, expert design training, as well as power skills and leadership training. Your role as a Design Trainer is to train and equip Design Artists and Design Consultants with the necessary knowledge & skills to create relevant and impactful designs to delight our customers.
You must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, agile environment, and be results and detail-oriented with a strong customer service mindset. The role calls for effective communication skills, including writing and collaborating with a varied audience that includes different roles, levels, and cultures. Being driven and a self-starter is a must for working in a remote setup as we currently do at Vistaprint. Most of all, we are seeking a Learning Professional with a personal commitment to continuous learning and excellence, and a desire to share the same with others.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
People Developer:
Create, facilitate and deliver Design-specific training and upskilling, from Vistaprint New Hire Training and core modules to advanced design skills for tenured agents seeking to enhance their capabilities
Strategic & Data-Driven:
Conduct LNA and other research to understand the needs of operations related to design skilling, and recommend/develop relevant learning solutions to meet this need
Develop expert knowledge of Vistaprint's Design tools, products, services & processes to successfully train others
Task Manager & Excellence Champion:
Administer training requests, coordinate schedules & programs sends invitations and pre-work to participants & update the training database
Complete and disseminate end-of-training reports & updates to stakeholders
Effective Communicator & Customer Obsessed:
Work closely with own team, Operations, and other key functions to identify cohesive solutions and encourage co-creation
Communicate clearly and in a timely manner; solicit and act on feedback and trends to improve the quality of training delivery
Adaptable:
Perform other related duties as assigned and contribute to the overall needs of the L&D team
Demonstrate a positive attitude; support change management; model Vistaprint's behaviors and competencies to the best of your ability
Qualifications & Functional Skills:
Degree/diploma course in Graphics Design or equivalent
An online portfolio demonstrating graphic design, marketing, or advertising, and other user-centered design solutions
Extensive proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver) & MS software (Excel, Word, and PPT)
Excellent grasp of visual design principles (contrast, alignment, repetition, and proximity).
Keen sense of good design, with particular attention to layout, typography, information architecture, interface design, and visual branding
Basic understanding of UX and usability principles
Excellent English and communication skills, both verbal and written
Understands final art preparation standards and processes (including knowledge of the difference between file formats)
Minimum of 2 years of experience training designers and artists. Keen understanding and knowledge of how designers think and learn most effectively
Understands adult learning principles and can demonstrate effective use of adult learning strategies throughout design training delivery
Expert presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to adapt to new software and technologies
Able to commit to a flexible work schedule, that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
