The Role
As a Settlements Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient back office processing of all trade bookings, data capture of fixed income trades. You will ensures compliance to internal and external policies, rules and regulations governing the trust business. You will also be responsible for the accurate and timely submission of all external and internal reports.
How you'll contribute
Checks investment instructions versus counterparty trade confirmation.
Keeps and maintain trade instructions from traders until fully settled.
Reconciles and processes coupon / interest payments.
Checks and validates information on loan documents under Facility Agency arrangements.
Coordinates with counter-parties and provides status updates on failing trades.
Ensures compliance with legal requirements, industry regulations, organizational policies and professional codes in relation to fixed income trades.
Pre-matching and Counterparty call-back of all trades.
Prepares and transmits settlement instructions to counterparties for the purchase and/or sale of assets, ensures settlement is conducted on set due date.
Ensures accuracy of payment instructions, implemented within deadline.
Identifies, investigates and follows up/ensures resolution of errors or discrepancies on trades, investment proceeds and related cash position.
Identifies actual or potential instances of non-compliance to policies or regulations in relation to fixed income trades; where appropriate escalates the same to the relevant authority.
Checks and validates deposit transactions and timely distribution of tickets (i.e. credit/debit advices, MCs, etc).
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking
Must be proficient in Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Attentive to details and delivers accurate reports on time.
Able to multitask
