Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented wordpress developer to join the Outsourced team. We are seeking a talented full-stack developer to work closely with the marketing team for wordpress site optimisations and customisations to deliver our premium staffing solutions to clients around the world. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Experience providing consult on PHP solution architecture
Proven experience developing complex sites utilising Wordpress
More than 3 years experience as Senior Wordpress Developer
Solid experience developing within the LAMP/LEMP stack
Strong front-end skills including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
Very strong PHP and MySQL development experience
Strong understanding and application of OOP principles.
Git and general version control experience and best practice
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Computer Science degree or similar level of tertiary education.
Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritise multiple, concurrent tasks
Willingness to learn and master new technologies
Knowledge/experience in performance profiling, tuning, and optimisation
Analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skill with proven experience troubleshooting and fixing production bugs
Desirable:
Experience with automated testing (PHPUnit)
High level or better Linux administration skills
Experience developing and working with APIs / web services and integrations
Systems design and architecture
Comprehensive understanding of caching mechanisms and technologies
Experience with other PHP frameworks (ie, Laravel, Symfony, Zend)
Good understanding of front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS)
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience with the Atlassian suite
