Job SummaryManage the local implementation of the tax policy. Advise, manage and oversee reporting to the Group on all local/regional tax compliance mattersGeneral Responsibilities
Manage tax ad hoc operating budgets and costs via finance's annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources
Manage the local implementation of the tax policy and controls to ensure effective governance over all taxation matters
Advise on all local tax matters. Develop and review internal processes to ensure data accuracy for tax compliance purposes
Lead all local tax matters, including tax computations, filing of tax returns, tax payments, witholding tax management, tax advisory, etc.
Manage local tax audits, including preparation of all relevant tax documents in compliance with regulatory requirements. Support local tax audit defence
Oversee reporting and updates to the Group on tax matters. Support superior in ensuring all local tax provisions are accounted for
Drive the country's special projects/initiatives to provide value-added tax services to internal stakeholders
Partner with internal stakeholders in navigating complex tax matters and the application of local tax regulations to business realities
Lead discussions with tax authorities/auditors/consultants on the country's complex taxation matters, tax audits, tax advisory engagements, etc.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of taxation principles and local tax regulations
Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage
Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills
Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
