We are a growing offshore staffing business based in the US, specializing in providing remote go-to-market talent from the Philippines to North American companies. As a small but dynamic team, we are looking for a highly skilled and proactive finance professional to join us in driving operational excellence and financial clarity as we scale.
 
Role Overview
 
We are seeking a Senior Finance and Operations Specialist with a CPA certification and 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations. This individual will play a critical role in managing our financial health, ensuring compliance with North American regulations, and supporting operational functions such as payroll, compliance, and administrative management.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, highly analytical, and proactive, with a strong ability to create financial models, generate insightful reports, and contribute to the company's growth. They should also have a can-do attitude, a hunger to learn, and the creativity to take on additional responsibilities as the company evolves.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education 
CPA certification in the United States. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience 
5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations, with a strong track record of managing financial processes and reporting.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., financial modeling, pivot tables, macros).
Familiarity with accounting software (experience with Wave Apps is a plus).
Strong understanding of business intelligence tools and reporting systems.
Regulatory Knowledge
 Familiarity with North American business regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Soft Skills
Highly meticulous and detail-oriented.
Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Creative problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
Adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as the company grows.
Good to Have Qualifications:
Experience working with small businesses or startups.
Familiarity with Wave Apps or similar accounting systems.
Exposure to remote work environments and cross-cultural teams.
Key Responsibilities:
 
Finance and Accounting
Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with North American financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
Collaborate with external tax CPAs to manage tax filings and ensure compliance with all tax obligations.
Monitor key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to the CEO to drive business performance.
Operational Support
Handle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
Oversee compliance with labor laws, contracts, and other administrative requirements in the Philippines and North America, to ensure we are in compliance with our customer requests.
Support vendor management, invoicing, and other operational tasks as needed.
Assist in building and improving internal processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Reporting and Business Intelligence
Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Leverage advanced Excel skills and business intelligence tools to create detailed and accurate reports.
