Job Summary:
The Senior Accounting Specialist will be responsible for various accounting operations of the company, work with project management to ensure proper compliance with accounting procedures including reviewing and analyzing job cost estimates and monthly reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the formation and implementation of company financial plans.
Preparation of all monthly financial reports.
Provide reporting and budgeting as required by Finance Manager.
Manage company and project cash flow.
Develop written accounting procedures for the operations staff and work with team to ensure proper implementation and compliance.
Analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of the established Company policies and procedures and provide recommendations on how to set and improve controls and processes.
Assesses compliance of the Company with the different Laws and Regulations.
Evaluates existing internal control documentation, testing current processes and procedures and provides recommendation.
Develops internal audit scopes and performs internal audit procedures - Audits projects will include financial, operational, compliance and IT processes.
Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and functions.
Perform other tasks as required by the Management.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
Certified Public Accountant
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience gained from a Design Engineering or Project Management, General Contracting or Subcontractor industry is an advantage
Experience in job cost accounting and financial reporting
Knowledgeable in Accounting Software of QuickBooks
