Job Responsibilities
•Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls, financial procedures, compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local laws, and compliance with accounting policies of the company
•Oversee all accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to both internal and external stakeholders
•Responsible for the annual financial audit, benefit plan audits and other special audits or reviews. Meet periodically with the outside auditors to strengthen the relationship and inform them of changes within the organization
•Optimize both departmental and organizational procedures allowing the financial functions to scale with a rapidly growing company
•Create a learning environment for team members to fully leverage the capabilities of existing systems
•Contribute and serve as a subject matter expert to the organization's leadership team
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from four-year college or university required.
•CPA experienced with financial statements, multi-entity consolidated reporting and state & local tax filings is required.
•SaaS experience a plus but not required.
•Health care experience a plus but not required.
•Demonstrates strong analytical skills for complex business cases and process improvements.
•Ability to work independently or with others as part of a cross-functional team.
•Ability to understand business objectives and communicate as needed to other team members or external stakeholders
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Self-starter; takes initiative
•Results-Driven; meets commitments and deadlines
•Flexible; able to adapt as priorities change
•Trustworthy; able to establish strong relationships with colleagues and customers
•Ability to multitask and be very detail-oriented
•Strong interpersonal skills
