Job Title: Engineer Senior Analyst
Job Description: Provide quality support of NAM/Mexico testing batch execution and processing in support of our development partners and Testing Organization. Processing the testing batch execution for increased hours of availability, eliminating repetitive failures and driving development resolutions, while ensuring on-line access to increase the Testing and Development time frames for global business projects.
Duties: Manage, Lead and direct a team of Batch Operations analysts covering 24 by 7 performing the following tasks:
Execute NA CARDS, NA Legacy Retail, RUSA, LATAM, Mexico and Go-To Common (G2C) test batch processing under a global batch execution SLA of 12 hours or less.
Ensure consistency by driving the 12-hour batch processing SLA and Testing environment availability with the future intent to disseminate the 12-hour SLA to all global test SIT/UAT batch executions.
Support and provide expedient DIT, SIT and UAT batch execution, monitoring and escalation in support of our development partners and business initiatives.
Support our global partners in monitoring /escalating critical global NA CARDS and Go-To Common (G2C) test batch issues.
Establish global batch execution metrics, processes and procedures for all testing environments under the GTEST support model.
Establish and enforce best practices and procedures for all test batch processes and testing environments.
Support readiness of the global parallel environment to ensure quality of processing and test results.
Align the SIT batch execution with the UAT phase by eliminating errors in SIT prior to UAT execution.
Core Leadership Responsibilities:
Responsible for testing and/or test management support of the Information Technology Plan of Record projects and Information Technology Development Testing on one or more processing/software/operational systems including IBS (International Bankcards System), G2C (Go To Common), FDR (First Data Resources), TSYS (Total Systems), MVS (Multiple Virtual Systems) and DB2(Data Base Relational System) and one or more platforms including Mainframe, Internet, Client Server and Network.
Accountable for on time delivery of quality testing assets, test execution and test integration applicable to their individual, team, or project testing responsibilities. These assets may include items such as work effort estimates, test strategies, test plans, test scripts, testing status and testing results. Management and Technical Consultation for Data Conversions or Integrations and in the Testing of Large stretching to Flagship projects, and/or leadership of a multi-resource functional effort, either for a project or ongoing, is also expected.
This person is a valuable technical resource in the organization and is accountable for on time delivery of project goals, support DIT/SIT/UAT testing and execution applicable to their individual or/lead testing responsibilities. These assets may include managing the interface between a client segment, vendor and the IT operations functions to ensure the integration of processes, controls and quality improvements throughout the IT testing environment in support of development /our clients.
Provides leadership in supporting testing for DIT/SIT/UAT, Regression, Test Bed and Conversion projects/major releases is also expected. Support Business Strategies and Policies by understanding testing methodology and applying it toward the development and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for effective implementation of the projects/releases to which they are assigned.
This person is the primary contact and is responsible for effectively analyzing, identifying, delegating, reporting, and escalating technical issues or testing issues as well as recommending resolution of issues. They will also be responsible for understanding the different business and system functions used to provide moderately complex proposals/technical solutions for the environment and their team.
Must possess a solid understanding of testing executions and processes, a strong technical understanding of the related platform(s), a demonstrated experience in software development and proficiency in several software programming languages, a proven experience in data structures and operating systems in various platforms, a robust business knowledge of credit card, batch processing and business to understand, evaluate, plan and execute test strategies and results.
This person must also demonstrate an awareness of the Testing Development Lifecycle and have experience in one or several phases of the planning and scheduling of system enhancements. This includes the manipulation of Service Now, change and problem management.
Interfaces consistently with team members, development, project and business partners, and occasionally with Senior Management or outside vendors. They will work to understand the objectives of our customers by understanding their requirements, questioning gaps and inconsistencies. They will also lead/facilitate meetings, work to understand the objectives of the testing team(s) and will identify, document and implement work group initiatives focused on achieving these goals.
Responsible for discovering, analyzing, reporting, and escalating defects and test data performances as well as facilitating and/or negotiating resolution of issues. They will also be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to the processes that affect the Development and testing team, and for participating in the identification and implementation of organizational process improvement initiatives. They will also be responsible for providing development opportunities, feedback and coaching to those on their project or functional team.
The person filling this position must possess the expertise necessary to make good decisions about the testing and/or test managing of their and their team's projects and the raising of project, release, and process related issues. They must demonstrate the ability to effectively resolve concerns escalated to them as well as appropriately escalate concerns to the next level with defined solutions or ideas to resolve those concerns. This person must be able to direct both their own and their team member's work efforts, and participate in the definition of their processes and responsibilities.

Work Schedule:
Core Business Hours Monday - Friday
Nights and Weekends as required and dictated by work load demands.
Emergency/Oncall hours: As Required.

Skills Required:
3-5 years years of hands-on working experience with IBM Mainframe MVS/zOS environments as a batch scheduling analyst.
3-5 years years of hands-on working experience with TWS/OPC Batch Scheduling, TSO, CICS, COBOL, JCL, SAR, IOF, NDM, IBM Utilities, CA11, HSM, DASD management, DB2, ChangeMan, InfoMan, ServiceNow.
Working knowledge of the Distributed environments as it pertains to job scheduling.
Extensive experience using IBM compatible computers running Windows XP/7 operating system or higher with Microsoft Office suite (Office 2003 or higher including Outlook). Prefer Microsoft Visio experience.
