The XMC application, for which this position is available, is the centralised exceptions master central that provides exception management framework across securities, institutional account and entity, end of day and historical pricing and corporate actions reference data providing metrics, exceptions, and reconciliation measuring the degree of excellence, completeness, validity, consistency, timeliness, and accuracy while facilitating data correction, quality measures, and exception resolution.
The role of an Operations Support Analyst that will sit within XMC Assist team will consist of the following
Responsibilities:
Providing data extracts from ISG Golden Source applications to support the business needs in response to audit and compliance related requests. This involves working closely with end users in order to provide accurate control reports.
Defining and delivering the data quality scorecards to the R&C team, and respective remediation teams for action on findings.
Implementing data quality standards and measurement
Assessing the effectiveness of data quality controls in relation to reference data
Reporting across all data sets
Assisting in resolving corrective action plans, including audit related issues.
Qualifications:
Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel, MS Access and Data Management Tools such as SQL and RDBMS
Strong teamwork skills in a local setting, as well as across different geographic locations;
Strong workflow management skills with focus on process improvement and operational redesign
Demonstrate assertive interpersonal and written communication skills; Possess the ability to work with various levels of management and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure.
Excellent awareness of and strict adherence to audit & risk controls
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge/Experience:
Data Analysis experience
Experience with working with both business and technology groups
Understanding of internal risk & controls policies and processes and the ability to quickly identify areas of weakness.
Experience of a data operations environment and awareness of the related risks.
How data is used holistically within front to back transactional flows, and potential risks inherent within these flows.
Reference data/ Securities knowledge would be an advantage
