Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with extensive experience using ADP Run Payroll software. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance, and will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration for our organization.
Responsibilities:
Utilize ADP Run Payroll software to process payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contract workers.
Collaborate with HR to gather and input necessary payroll data, such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, deductions, and timekeeping records.
Verify timesheets, attendance records, and overtime calculations to ensure accurate pay disbursements.
Calculate and process various types of payments, including bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by accurately calculating and remitting payroll taxes, deductions, and contributions.
Generate and review payroll reports to identify discrepancies, errors, and potential areas for improvement.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure the organization's practices remain compliant.
Address payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, managers, and external parties, providing exceptional customer service.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to accurately record payroll transactions in the general ledger.
Assist in preparing and filing payroll-related reports required by government agencies, such as W-2s, 1099s, and quarterly tax filings.
Support audits by providing accurate and comprehensive payroll documentation as needed.
Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information and sensitive employee data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience as a Payroll Specialist, with a strong emphasis on ADP Run Payroll.
In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and labor laws.
Proficiency in using ADP Run Payroll software and a high level of comfort navigating its features.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Strong understanding of confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong analytical skills to review payroll reports, identify trends, and propose improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data manipulation and reporting.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus, but not required.
