Job Description
A payroll specialist is able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. Specialist must be good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. The goal is to ensure personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner. It is also essential to have a solid understanding of employee attendance procedures and leave arrangements. This position is responsible for making payroll adjustments, audits, voids, direct deposits, and termination checks.
Responsibilities
Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed.
Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper.
Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
Administration and generation of Payroll, Final Pay and Reports, Tax filing for the employees.
Process and manage payroll for assigned clients in compliance with government regulations (SSS, Philhealth, HDMF, BIR, DOLE).
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely based on our agreed Customer Service Level
Prepare and execute payroll payouts through manual and electronic systems.
Work directly with internal stakeholders to achieve organizational goals as required.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, preferably in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent.
1-2 years of relevant work experience in the payroll processing and replying to queries.
Previous experience working in a BPO/Shared Service company is a plus.
Has knowledge of payroll fundamentals.
Keen on details.
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
Good supplier relationship skills and team spirit.
Good analytical skills.
Can work in fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
Candidate can work with minimal supervision.
Has high standards for accuracy and timeliness.
Amenable to work in shifting schedule. (day, Mid, Night)
Willing to work in Ortigas.
Temporary work-from-home
