PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Overview of the role:
The HR Specialist is responsible for providing technical and complex issue resolution support to the HR function, as well as managing individual and mass data changes in the HR systems as it relates to core HR activities.
What this job involves:
• Provide cross functional transactional data support to CoEs aligned to core HR processes being supported by the HR Direct team
• Execute data changes in the HR system (Workday) related to non-self-service transactions
• Support Managers by answering more complex queries related to HR data specific to CoE activities (e.g., performance management cycle, L&D course catalog refresh)
• Manage mass data changes and systems activities related to employee entries and exits (e.g., mass systems onboarding after M&A activity)
• Provide guidance and best practices around data usage and data management policies / procedures within HR systems to Finance, Payroll, or other downstream stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
• Identify resolutions for complex or high risk data management queries
• Escalate to HR Specialist Lead or external vendors and COEs as needed

• Strong technical, analytics, business, and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, and offer recommendations
• Excellent working knowledge of data management best practices and standards
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical resources
• Passionate about team work and providing excellent customer service through efficient processes
• Understanding of core HR processes and HR management practices
• Results focused with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
• Proactive in achieving results and seeking improvements
• Attention to detail and an ability to work towards tight deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially MS Excel and Access Qualifications/ Experience/ Education
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Data Science, or other related field
• 1-3 years of experience in a corporate HR support or client services role preferred
• 1-2 years as a business or HR analyst role with complex processing
• Willing to work on the night shift (US Support)
