This role blends software design, system optimization, and a knack for shaping tools that resonate with both internal teams and external customers.As a Next Generation Software Engineer, you'll use next-generation AI-driven 'Vibe Coding' tools combined with traditional software development experience to design and build software that increases efficiency across Cloud Bridge's operations while ensuring products align with client requirements and expectations.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and implement software systems to automate and optimize internal workflows and enhance customer experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, DevOps) to ensure software aligns with customer goals and organizational needs.
Translate user feedback and business requirements into technical solutions that deliver real value.
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across various projects.
Lead or contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and agile planning sessions.
Stay tuned in to the "vibe" of the team and the product-proactively identifying inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years' experience in software engineering, ideally in a fast-paced tech environment.
Full stack developer with strong experience in modern front-end and back-end programming languages and frameworks: PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (Vue) and Python.
Proficiency in next-generation AI driven software development 'Vibe Coding' tools such as: GitHub CoPilot, Windsurf, Cursor, Replit, Kiro or similar.
Strong grasp of system design, API development, working with RESTful API's and 3rd party integrations.
Good knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Experience using version control systems such as GitHub and project management tools such as Jira and Kanban tracking.
Experience of CI/CD pipelines such as: GitHub actions, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild.
Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
Excellent collaboration skills and a sense of empathy-for users, teammates, and the codebase.
Ability to balance technical rigor with creative experimentation.
An instinct for "flow"-you understand when a product or process isn't clicking and know how to realign it.
Nice to Have
Experience in building internal tools or process automation platforms.
Familiarity with customer-centric design principles.
A side project or open-source contribution that shows off your vibe.
