NPD Specialist
The incumbent will be working closely with brand managers and assistant brand managers; S/he will be primarily responsible for managing the entire JTI portfolio with regard to packaging, product changes, new formats, variable manufacturing cost changes/one time cost budget planning, limited edition pack and new product development introductions. In addition, the role holder will be the contact person for R&D, Global supply chain and Marketing & Sales ensuring all product and packaging initiatives are executed with excellence, including both on time and within budget, prioritizing brands and / or projects where necessary
What will you do?
You will be responsible in execution of NPD projects related to product and/or packaging changes within PLM system
Projects coordination in collaborative way with the different stakeholders at all sourcing locations
Tracking progress of the projects and providing projects' status to Line Manager and Market
Preparation of preliminary info required for Project initiation: Packaging Briefs, Market simulations / Creative designs, etc. Coordinate bar-codes assignment process from Market side
Organize and lead projects' kick-off meetings under the responsibility of Project Manager role.
Track information on lead-times for different steps of the process: coordination of layouts development & approval process within AMS (artwork), SKU readiness, tooling availability, NTMs (non-tobacco materials) delivery and other project related questions
Track and look for opportunities to optimize product cost and rationalize OTC amounts.
Manage the end to end NPD process ensuring timely execution of all projects. Track project timelines against plan and ensure that key stakeholders including NPD & Commercial Strategy Manager and Marketing Lead are aware of any delays and issues
You will take responsibility for PLM related questions and provide support to the markets assigned with PLM related issues
You will provide technical support within artworks development process: coordinate Production Designs development according to JTI Design Guide and Markets requirements; track layouts development and revision in accordance to Market requests
Analyse competitor product and pack initiatives and investigate / propose alternatives in-line with strategy. Take part in ASP process by supporting Line Manager with estimated OTC calculation
Who are we looking for?
Strong knowledge of packaging and product development
At least 2 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD), marketing or project management roles with demonstrated track record in cross-functional projects
Has experience working in FMCG, Manufacturing or Shared Services industry
Have a University Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics or equivalent
Proficient in MS Office, SAP and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
An excellent communicator with a strong command of English language; knowledge in other languages of the countries within GBS scope is a plus
