Job Responsibilities:
Initiates insurance follow up on aged, unresolved claims to ensure maximum reimbursement
Submits appeals and reconsiderations on claim rejections, underpayments, and denials
Engages the coding follow-up team for any medical necessity or coding related appeals
Sets follow-up activities based on status of the claim
Communicates identified payer trends such as denials for specific procedure, diagnosis codes, or other identified issue
Create excel reports based on denials
Apply insurance payments
Requirements
Two years relevant experience in medical collection
An understanding of revenue cycle
Understand HIPAA
Familiar with Claims software and Clearing house
Familiar with payment posting
Ability to review and interpret EOBs and reason codes
Must have a deep understanding of the US healthcare system
Knowledgeable in MS Excel
Should be able to take direction well.
Willing to observe US Central Time working hours
