Job Summary (Basic Function)
This position assists in applying marketing mix concepts of brand positioning, brand architecture, and customer segmentation and to assist in development of marketing strategies to drive brand equity, revenue and profitability.
Accountabilities:
Assist Manager on marketing plan development, on brand, product or marketing of products, content and solutions, including online legal research.
Assist in the development of brand positioning, brand architecture, competitive assessments, customer segmentation, solutions, brands and building on brand equity or specialized area.
Development and execution of marketing tactics
Assist in new product launch plans and roll out to customers and prospects as applicable. Alignment with the Marketing function area needs (PR, customer/prospect communications, web content development)
Leverage existing tools and reports to assist in tracking marketing effectiveness versus objectives
Support the development of monthly department executive reports, financial and customer analysis, quarterly marketing dashboards
Work with Manager to clearly communicate plans to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods
Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
Well-organized and detail oriented
Exceptional communication and writing skills
Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or Communications (update language of this)
A minimum of 1 -3 years' experience in an existing Marketing role. Some prior Business to Business Marketing experience preferred.
Knows or has education to apply basic marketing mix concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, customer segmentation).
Knows or is familiar with procedures and marketing mix elements that drive increase in volume and brand equity.
Knows and applies basic marketing strategies (marketing programs).
Knows basic sales management concepts (sell-in process, benefits/features products, channels, and training).
Knows procedures and marketing elements in the majority of specialized area.
Strong project management skills.
Conveys information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicits input from the audience during the communication.
Understands the complexities and interdependencies of information and events in order to develop more effective solutions and ideas.
Develops alliances internally and externally that will drive efficiency and help create success for the company and its customers, suppliers, community.
Develops and uses collaboration for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives; develops relationships with other individuals by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others.
