MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
 
Responsible for the direction and control of the Engineering and Maintenance Departments of Neovia Philippines Inc (ADM ANIMAL NUTRITION) facility in San Rafael, Bulacan, Philippines. Ensures that the section operates at expected performance levels in terms of safety, quality, cost, efficiency and reliability. Implements programs aligned with the overall plant objectives, KPI and standards.
Job Functions
Ensures that the maintenance and engineering sections of the Calajo-an Plant are operating in a safe, accident-free, environmentally friendly, clean and a healthy workplace. This includes ensuring employee compliance to EHS standards and full participation in plant safety programs and committees. This incl working closely with the Plant Manager on strategy and day to day performance. Safety focus are on EHS systems, conditions and behaviors.
Builds and maintains a strong, well trained, highly motivated and committed maintenance workforce with a good working relationship. Establish a work environment that promotes and encourages employee participation and involvement in Maintenance and Plant wide activities. Coordinates with other plant sections to ensure proper communication and resolution of section issues and concerns.
Develops the Plants Preventive Maintenance Schedule and uses the appropriate maintenance scheme to ensure that all critical pieces of equipment in the Calajoan Plant are at optimum Condition,
Ensures that all critical spares are available or are ordered in a manner that will support the plant's productivity and quality requirements.
Responsible for achieving the effective use of available manpower of the section and the optimum utilization of the equipment within the section. Ensures that plant operational KPIs and targets are fully supported. Identify improvement areas of the operations and works with the Plant Manager in the assessment, project justification and project of those areas.
Responsible for the identification of training needs of the section operators and submits those to HR for inclusion into the Annual Plant training Matrix. With HR, administers the preliminary assessment of employee performance and ensures that complaints of employees are addressed appropriately and promptly.
Ensures the Maintenance Protocols are in compliance with standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO9001 and ISO22000. Any non-compliances are promptly addressed.
Investigates complaints related to equipment reliability issues as well as any loss in performance of the section. Reports investigation findings to the Plant Manager and submits corrective actions to address the issues.
Ensures that standard operating procedures related to the Maintenance and Engineering Processes are accurate and current. Any changes to the actual process must be covered by an MOC as well as reflected in the appropriate section protocols.

1. Provides directions in the day-to-day operation of Pellet Mill, Extruder, Grains and Premix Blending Operations with focus on employee safety and productivity.
2. Ensures that the Pellet Mill, Extruder, Grains and Premix Blending Operations operates in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Encourages employee-wide participation in these programs.
3. Ensures that procedures are in place to guarantee that safety policies and procedures are conformed with and that area discharges are in compliance to ADM and DENR standards.

Communicates expectations to Engineers and Technicians of the Engineering and Maintenance Department

With the Plant Manager and HR, performs fair but comprehensive performance appraisal for each employee of the Engineering and Maintenance Department. The performance appraisal will form basis of the compensation adjustments.

1. Ensures that the PM operations are done in a cost effective manner that supports plant and corporate goals.
2. Implements programs that enhances or maintains the section's reliability thereby improving cost effectiveness
3. Ensures that GMP programs are in place to guarantee that products conform to HACCP/ISO requirements.
4. Translates the relevant plant targets into maintenance dept targets. Communicates these to personnel for information and action.
5. Monitors section performance against established targets. Ensures that section performance is consistent with Plant APIs. This includes OEE, RFT and late shipment targets
5. Ensures that the planning for all PM activities is set up to prevent shipment disruptions, delays and complaints.
6. Develops the plant's spare replenishment protocols that ensures the availability of spares for critical pieces of equipment.
7. Works with suppliers and the ADM Procurement Team to ensure that ADM gets preferred status when it comes to spares procurement, inventory and price.

2. This may include but not limited to becoming a resource for other sections and/or other ADM AN plants that may require it.
Knowledge and Skills
An Electrical or Mechanical Engineer or a Registered Electrician by profession with a Professional License is preferred
At a minimum, has attended technical vocational electrical and/or mechanical courses
Familiarity with the Preventive Maintenance Schemes, ISO Management Systems, HACCP and GMP will be an advantage
Proficient in both oral and written English
Experience
Min 2 years supervisory experience of a maintenance section of a manufacturing plant,
