The Key Account Manager is responsible for the management and development of identified accounts. He/She is the day-to-day contact for the customer and is responsible for customer targets for his/her area. The role is tasked to contribute to the growth of Chain Accounts.
The following accountabilities will be required in the day to day interactions internally & externally:
Well versed with account's process, strategy, plans, yearly activity calendar
Develop clear and concise account plan based on account's strategy and direction/business need based on UFS business priorities.
Regular work with and coordination with Marketing, Culinary, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to ensure that agreed plans and activities are implemented on time.
Win & retain profitable business with chain customers by understanding the Chains business model and success factors, align these with UFS profitability targets.
Manage territory and account profitability by measuring and managing customer contribution.
Develop in conjunction with Marketing activity for differentiation.
Deliver KPI's for chain accounts local operations.
Negotiate business terms in each customers to reach the most effective conditions for Unilever.
Obtain and feedback information (within Unilever policies) about competitors and their activities in the market.
Control and manage assigned budgets for selling support in line with Unilever policies and strategy.
Lead projects and ensure timely completion.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years solid Foodservice Account Management/Sales Experience
Very hands-on: can do end-to-end account management from strategy to execution of Sales and Marketing initiatives
Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
Should be able to handle challenges and be objective in making business decisions and communications.
Analytical thinking, passion for results, creative and strategic orientation.
Must have excellent Project Management skills.
Applicants with passion for food are preferred.
