Rate: $4-4.50/hr, and earn up to 45,000 PHP +/month
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST, with 30-min unpaid lunch and two paid 15-min breaks.
 
About the Role
As an IT Specialist , you will be an essential part of the IT team, providing frontline technical support and ensuring that employees have the tools and resources they need to succeed. This role focuses on resolving basic technical issues, maintaining IT equipment, and assisting with day-to-day operations of the IT department.
 
Responsibilities:
Provide IT Support:
● Respond to IT-related inquiries through email, chat, or ticketing systems, assisting employees with basic technical issues and troubleshooting.
● Set up and configure hardware and software for new hires, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools.
 
Maintain IT Equipment:
● Assist with inventory management, ensuring all IT assets are accounted for and in good working condition.
● Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems, hardware, and software.
 
Assist with Onboarding and Offboarding:
● Support onboarding tasks, such as setting up accounts and configuring equipment for new employees.
● Assist with offboarding tasks, including deactivating accounts and recovering IT assets.
 
Contribute to Documentation and Processes:
● Help maintain and update IT documentation, such as troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and equipment manuals.
● Provide feedback to improve IT workflows and processes, ensuring smooth operations.
 
Learn and Grow:
● Participate in training sessions and hands-on learning opportunities to build your knowledge of IT systems and best practices.
● Shadow senior IT team members to gain exposure to advanced support techniques and technical problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications (Which can earn you $4/hr)
1+ years of experience in an IT support or customer-facing technical role, or relevant educational background in IT or computer science.
Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software, including troubleshooting common technical issues.
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
A proactive and resourceful approach to solving technical problems.
Enthusiasm for learning new tools, technologies, and processes.
Familiarity with user account management, access controls, and troubleshooting tools.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, such as VPNs, firewalls, and Wi-Fi configurations.

Provide input on IT solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Enhance Documentation and Processes:

Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose solutions to streamline IT operations.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in IT support or a related role, with a track record of solving technical issues effectively.
Strong understanding of IT systems, including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), hardware maintenance, and software support.
Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow) and remote troubleshooting tools.
Familiarity with security best practices, including device encryption and compliance standards.
A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to address technical challenges.
